St Edward's Festival

October 13th is the Feast Day of our Patron Saint Edward, King and Confessor. Each year, to mark this occasion, there is a Music and Arts Festival.

Thurs 13 Oct. 7.30pm. On St Edward’s Day the choir will sing the liturgical parts of Karl Jenkins’ “The Armed Man: A Mass for Peace” at the Holy Eucharist.

Fri 14 Oct. 7.30pm. Some members of the orchestra will give a concert (instrumental solos accompanied by piano).

Tue 18 Oct. 7.30pm. Janet Powell (Sop) and Scott Baker (Guitar). Accompanied by Jayne Thomas (piano).

Fri 21 Oct. 7.30pm. On Trafalgar Day the choir and combined orchestras will perform Haydn’s “Nelson” Mass in the context of a Holy Eucharist.

Tue 25 Oct. 7.30pm. Jayne Thomas (piano) and Iolo Jones (Violin).

There will be an Art Exhibition throughout the Festival by Roy Worrall.
